In the month of June we saw volunteers take seriously the importance of living on mission by first hosting children for 3 families and then continue the impact of an ongoing relationship with them.  Though there are still obstacles to overcome, these families are experiencing the sacrificial love of others who are giving up their time to encourage and support during the tough situations that life brings.
Really living out the gospel requires effort of surrendering our desires and time to the needs of others.  We live busy lives and it seems impossible most days, weeks and even months to fit one more thing in.  But as we remember to focus on our eternal home and our purpose on earth, our priorities begin to change and the Lord leads us down paths we never thought imaginable.   Because of sacrifice and time invested,  we are so thankful for these smiles when it seemed all hope was lost!
